Recently, our 5th grade class partnered with Jewish Family Services (JFS) of Silicon Valley to complete their service project as part of their milestone. Through collaboration, teamwork, and care for their community, the class packed Passover food bags and distributed them to JFS’ clients. We are incredibly proud of the efficiency and effort the class put in during both their visits to JFS.

This is what some students said about their experience…

“We went to JFS and packed food bags for holocaust survivors and people who don’t have money for holiday foods on the first visit. On the next visit, we finished packing bags and handed them out to people.”

“It felt very nice helping people who don’t have as much as we do. I feel like the simple food bags could make a family really happy and feel loved. It surprised me at how many bags we made in the few hours we were there, and also how many people we helped with those bags.”

“Some ways you can show acts of kindness are by donating to any organization that helps others. Sometimes people don’t have the money to donate to others, but another good way is just to smile, respect, and be kind to others.”
