Last Friday, Gan students celebrated their learning, All about Wildlife vs. Domestic Animals. The learning process was through books, slideshows, lessons and hands-on activities. We focused on animal habitats, animal nutrition, animals’ way of camouflage, animal literature and the type of vertebrate. We went on a special field trip and we wrote our own “Gan Animals books”. Our final project focused on different animals that the children choose. They built their habitats and crafted the animals in it.
During our learning, the children enriched their vocabulary, practiced writing, reading, math, STEAM, Hebrew and Jewish studies, all in one! All subject areas were inspired by our PBL. At the end of the unit, we celebrated our learning with our families, our big buddies and the whole school with class visits. The class did a wonderful job answering questions and showing their creativity.
