Butter, sugar, flour, and chocolate chips- it’s a cookie!  But it’s so much more.  Third graders have been learning about ways in which we can change the world through our words.  Each student picked a cause they care about, and then developed research skills in order to write a persuasive essay in order to convince their reader to donate money to a non-profit working towards that problem.  Altogether, after deducting expenses, the third graders raised $532 with their cookie business and decided to donate the money to ALL the nonprofits they wrote about.
