Kitah Dalet had a meaningful and memorable overnight camping trip on Angel Island, a site rich with California history and immigration stories. As part of Yavneh Day School’s commitment to experiential learning, students and parents took a guided tour to explore the island’s complex past, including the challenges and injustices faced by immigrants at the Angel Island Immigration Station. Immersed in this powerful setting, students connected deeply with history through firsthand experience. In addition to the educational components, the group enjoyed hiking, cooking together, and spending quality time outdoors, making the trip a powerful blend of learning, reflection, and fun.
