In Kitah Alef – 1st Grade STEAM classes, students are learning different concepts related to weather (water cycle, wind, the four seasons, cardinal points, temperature, amongst others).
Students learned to use a thermometer to measure water at room temperature, “icy” water, and hot water. They were able to observe the changes in temperature according to the type of water they were testing. They then make predictions about the weather outside “Will it be colder or hotter than in our classroom?” and checked with thermometers on the playground.
