Dear Yavneh Families,
I hope that this email finds you settling into your summer routines and finding joy with your families. It’s been so quiet and lonely on campus this week without the energy of you and your child(ren). Thank you for making the 21/22 school year (my first year!) such a smashing success for us and we are elated to welcome you back for Yavneh’s 41st year in a couple of short months.
As we are settling into our summer routines, below are some reminders and summer logistics:
Progress Reports: 2nd Semester (for grades K-4) and 3rd Trimester (for grades 5-8) progress reports will be available on Tuesday, 6/21. For kindergarten through 4th grade, these reports will be emailed to you from our office administrator, Jade. For 5-8th grade, you will be able to access your student’s final progress report by logging into GradeLink (School ID: 1035)
Summer office hours: Believe it or not, the summer is a busy time in the school as we close out the current school year and prepare for next year. From 6/27-7/24, the school office will be open from 9:30-3:30 Monday-Thursday and Friday will be a work-from-home day for our admin and office staff team. Please reach out to me or anyone else on the team if you have questions or would like to schedule a meeting.
Yavneh Office Closed:
- Monday 6/20 in observance of Juneteenth
- Week of July 4th
Camp postcards: Is your child attending a summer sleep-away camp? If so, I would love to send them a postcard while they are away. Simply fill out this google form.
July Communication: In mid-July, you’ll receive an email with instructions for registering for the 2022-2023 school year. All families must update their information on GradeLink, new students need to submit vaccination records, and entering 7th graders need to provide proof of the Tdap booster. More information about California requirements can be found on the California Department of Education website.
August Communications: In early August, you will receive an email with class lists, teacher assignments, and other important information about the 22/23 school year. Please be on the lookout for this.
Save the Dates: Here is the school calendar for next year that was previously shared. It is worth noting that the following August events:
- Family Conferences: Thurs & Friday 8/18-8/19
- Back to school bash: Sunday 8/21
- First day of school: Tuesday 8/23
Looking ahead to the 2022-2023 Academic Year: We are so excited for the next school year! There are so many program enhancements coming to Yavneh including (but not limited to): Faculty Leadership Team, Shinshinim program, Spanish Language option in grades 7 & 8 and so much more. If you missed our Town Hall, please take a look at the webpage where we outline some of next year’s exciting programs.
Have a great Summer!
