Virtual Learning at Yavneh Day School
During times when we cannot be together in person, Yavneh’s educational program continues virtually. We provide a classroom experience through a combination of synchronous live online sessions and asynchronous learning opportunities (teacher produced videos, website links and “off-screen” independent learning assignments) which students access through home computing devices.
Yavneh’s four fundamental beliefs continue to guide our virtual classrooms, which include integrated learning across secular and Jewish core academics, choice based on student interest, differentiated learning opportunities according to individual students’ learning profiles, Hebrew immersion experiences in lower grades, social-emotional learning rich in Jewish values, robust co-curricular offerings including art, music, physical education and STEAM as well as regularly scheduled classroom and all-school community gatherings.
We work closely with all of our families to ensure that each student has the tools necessary to make virtual learning successful.
