In Yavneh News

This week at Yavneh, our school was filled with the light and joy of Hanukkah. Each morning began with candle lighting and meaningful dedications, while our 4th graders shared their inspiring miracle stories. Students enjoyed plenty of latkes, and our kindergarteners celebrated with a festive Hanukkah cookie-making party.

The week also included a joyful, all-school Open House welcoming both current and prospective families. The Open House featured a lively science show all about fire and light presented by Morah Sharon, light-up card making, a Hanukkah maze, Hebrew storytime, a schoolwide sing-along, and a spirited dreidel spin-off.

Join us tomorrow for our annual All-School Hanukkah Kabbalat Shabbat from 2:00–3:00 pm, featuring band and choir performances, followed by sufganiot in the lobby generously provided by the Yavneh Parent Association.

Last weekend, our students proudly represented Yavneh in the community by performing Hanukkah songs at Menorahs & Miracles at the Children’s Discovery Museum.

Yavneh continues to shine, and we are so proud of our students. We wish everyone a Happy Hanukkah and a restful winter break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Semester 2 when classes resume on January 6, 2026.
