Kitah Bet students had a wonderful time learning and exploring at the California Academy of Sciences this week. The main purpose of this trip was to visit the Rainforest exhibit where we could observe some of the insects we studied through our insect unit. Students were in awe watching the butterflies flit around and amazed by how well the Giant Leaf Insect was able to camouflage into its surroundings. Asher mentioned he saw plants and butterflies that he hadn’t seen before, and the other students expressed their agreement. Stella was thrilled to see a Luna Moth since that was the insect she chose to research for her Insect Book. Bella thought it was cool that a butterfly landed on her dad’s head! It was an amazing day for Kitah Bet students!
