In Yavneh News

Dear Yavneh Families,

At Yavneh Day School, we remain deeply committed to providing a rigorous, joyful, and values-based educational experience rooted in Jewish learning and identity. We also believe strongly in making a Yavneh education as accessible as possible for families who share this vision.

For the 2026-2027 academic year, Yavneh Day School’s base tuition will remain $26,000, which continues to be among the lowest tuitions for Jewish day schools in the Bay Area. This reflects our commitment to balancing excellence with affordability.

Our budget supports the programs and experiences that define Yavneh – engaging academics, hands-on STEAM, Art, and Music, meaningful Jewish learning, experiential field trips, and overnight adventures that help students grow socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Grade-Level Fees

Gradel-level fees provide the resources for a variety of educational journeys, field trips, some school supplies and special projects that enhance classroom learning. These fees help us provide these enhanced learning opportunities tailored to each developmental stage, ensuring that every child benefits from rich, age-appropriate experiences throughout the year.:

  • Kindergarten – 3rd Grade: $500
  • 4th Grade: $1,000
  • 5th – 6th Grade: $2,000
  • 7th Grade: $4,500
  • 8th Grade**: $6,400 **Note: subject to increase depending on costs for international trips

Security Fee

In our effort to provide a secure and welcoming campus for every family, we have established a $1,200 security fee per student. This fee allows us to maintain and enhance our school’s safety infrastructure, creating a supportive environment where students can focus on learning and growing.

Financial Goals Rooted in Stability and Transparency

As we look ahead, we remain committed to keeping Yavneh both excellent and accessible. Next year, tuition will cover 79% of our operating expenses, which helps us maintain one of the most affordable Jewish day school tuitions in the Bay Area.

Because tuition doesn’t yet cover the full cost of running the school, our Annual Fund will continue to support what makes Yavneh special – our talented teachers, hands-on learning, Jewish experiences, and the warm community our students thrive in.

Over the next few years, our goals are simple and focused:

  • Increase tuition coverage to 85–90% of expenses
  • Reduce annual fundraising needs to $500,000 or less
  • Begin laying groundwork for long-term financial strength, including future savings and endowment growth

Thank you for partnering with us. Your support ensures that Yavneh remains strong today and for generations to come.

In partnership,
