In Yavneh News

Our 8th graders started the school year in a 3-day “Social Entrepreneurship Bootcamp” led by Henrik Scheel of the Start Up Experience. Yavneh was invited to participate in this exciting entrepreneurship program along with South Peninsula Jewish Day School 8th graders. The BootCamp is designed for Jewish teens to become agents of change.

As part of Yavneh’s STEAM program under the direction of Morah Vanina, the 8th-grade class will work in groups to create business plans in conjunction with Jewish values focused on social action. This semester-long project will include a demo day where students will pitch their ideas, a regional day of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, speaker events, and a start-up visit in conjunction with students from other local Jewish Day Schools.

Nondiscrimination Policy: Yavneh Day School admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
