In Head of School Search

Dear Yavneh community,

Today, we have great news to share.  We are excited to announce that we will be hosting Tzachi Rechter, a finalist candidate for the permanent position of Head of School, on campus this coming Monday and Tuesday, May 9th and 10th. Over the course of these two days, there will be numerous opportunities for Tzachi to interact with parents, students, faculty, staff, board members, and other important contributors to our beloved school community.

We apologize for the short notice.  We feel it is critical that when we find a highly qualified candidate, we bring that candidate to campus to meet you and learn more about what makes Yavneh so special. With the end of the school year approaching, time is of the essence. Tzachi has an upcoming simcha celebrating his son’s graduation from college, as well as other time and travel constraints. This is our one opportunity this school year to see him on campus, and we decided to take it!

One of our guiding principles has always been to include you, the Yavneh community, in the process. We would like to invite you to meet Tzachi for yourself during one or more of our four meet-and-greet sessions.  These sessions, where you will be able to ask questions, are open to the entire community.  We hope you will partner with us to make it a great visit.

Monday, 5/9 @ 2:15 pm — In-person in the Beit Kehillah

Monday, 5/9 @ 7:00 pm — In-person in the Beit Kehillah

Tuesday, 5/10 @ 8:30 am — In-person in the Beit Kehillah

Tuesday, 5/10 @ 7:00 pm On zoom

Your feedback from these sessions will be essential to guide our next steps. Early next week, the Search Committee will send a feedback form requesting your input and reactions. Please share your feedback with us no later than Thursday 5/12 at 9 am. This will enable us to review all submissions before our next committee meeting. We look forward to providing you with an update in the upcoming weeks.

Thank you for your continued partnership,

The HOS Search Committee
