In Head of School Search

Dear Yavneh Community,

We are pleased to update you on our Head of School search and share some opportunities for you to get involved. The work ahead is very much a collaboration and we look forward to partnering with you in this vital task.

Over the coming weeks, the search committee will be preparing a Position Description that will create a compelling summary of Yavneh’s culture, goals, challenges, and the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the position. The committee will analyze various data points about our school including input from parents, faculty, staff, and trustees that will be collected via a community survey. Your feedback on this survey is essential as it will enable us to gain a collective sense of where we are going and a clear profile of the candidate most likely to match Yavneh’s leadership needs and vision for the future.

The survey is live starting today and we will be collecting responses through February 8th.  Please click on the link below to access the survey:

The key to running an effective search is the engagement of a strong committee. We would like to introduce you to the members of our committee and thank each of them for their time and dedication to Yavneh Day School. Our search committee includes trustees, members of the faculty and administration, parents and alumni, varying levels of Jewish engagement and professional background, and a lot of heart.

Over the coming months, the Committee will continue to gather input from the community, evaluate candidates, and create opportunities for parents, students, and faculty to meet finalist candidates. Ultimately the committee will make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees based on community feedback and thoughtful consideration about the school and its needs leading into the future.
