Admissions Process 2019-2020
 
Applicants to Kindergarten must turn five years old by September 1st of the entering school year and be developmentally ready for a kindergarten placement. In evaluating children for admission to any grade, Yavneh considers the child’s strengths, needs, personality, and learning style in relation to the needs and functioning of the class and school as a whole.

Step 1: Visit Yavneh
Tour the School and/or attend an Open House event. 
 
Step 2: Submit Online Application   January 18, 2019
Late applications are reviewed on a rolling admission basis.
 
  Kindergarten     1st - 8th Grades
Online Application includes:
  • $100 non-refundable application fee
  • Student photograph
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Student Evaluation Form (to be completed by your child's current teacher)
  • Parent/Guardian Questionnaire

Step 3: Group Observation or Shadow Day   February 2019
Once we receive your application and supporting materials, we will contact you to schedule the following:
 
  Kindergarten     1st - 8th Grade
Group observation/Assessment:
Your child will be scheduled for a one hour group observation. This is an engaging way for us to get to know your child in a school-like setting, while assessing for kindergarden readiness.  
 
Shadow:
Students applying for admission are invited to shadow an assigned student. 1st - 4th grade students will shadow for one day while middle schoolers shadow for two.
 
Step 4: Financial Aid    January 31, 2019
If you will be appying for financial aid, complete online application
 
Step 4: Admissions Notifications emailed March 21, 2019
 
Step 5: Enrollment Contracts due March 28, 2019
Signed enrollment contract with a non-refundable deposit of $1,250 is due by March 28, 2019 at 10am. For families with more than one student, the deposit is $2,000.
