What an incredible start to our school year! Walking through the Yavneh halls on our very first week, I am filled with pride! I am so lucky to be leading this extraordinary school, home to some of the best teachers and most vibrant families anywhere.
We kicked off the first day of school with a wonderful whole-school assembly, while our newest learners in Gan (Kindergarten) went straight to their classroom to settle in. Under the warm guidance of their teacher, Morah Limor, our Gan students are already thriving, making friends, and filling the playground with joy. Meanwhile, our proud first graders have officially taken on a major milestone: tackling the big climbing rock! Watching them learn to climb up, and safely navigate their way back down, has been absolute pure magic.
Our community connections are already growing strong. Thank you to everyone who joined our New Parent Orientation on the first day; it was inspiring to see families connecting and building our shared foundation. Inside the classrooms, learning is in full swing, and during recess and lunch, our lower school students are taking amazing initiative. A few ambitious students have already approached me to pitch their own student-led clubs, and I cannot wait to see their leadership in action.
Finally, as we celebrate the month of Elul, we are starting each morning with the joyful blast of the shofar! We will also be blowing the shofar during our all-school assemblies on Mondays and Thursdays, and at Kabalat Shabbat. If your child has a shofar at home, please encourage them to bring it in.
Thank you for bringing your energy, warmth, and wonderful children to our school. Here is to a brilliant year ahead! Shana tova!
