Bet-Gimel students had their Milestone at Yavneh in the Beit Kehillah on Sunday, February 22. It began with the Bet students leading Havdalah, followed by Gimel students sharing their thoughts about the Ten Commandments and receiving their Tanachim. It was a beautiful evening.
Reflections:
Gali:
“I feel good about myself, and I am happy. I learned a lot about Midrashim and theTanach. I am proud of myself because I made the learning happen! My parents were proud of me too. It was so much fun. Bet-Gimel, we were awesome!”
Naomi:
“I felt excited, but nervous, before the Milestone. I thought we needed more practice, but on the day of the Milestone, we did an amazing job! I learned about Havdalah and the blessings. I am really proud of myself.”
Bella:
“I can’t believe I had my Milestone! It was fun, but scary. It was scary because I was worried that something might go wrong. It was fun because we learned so much!”
Mona:
“I felt very happy at the Milestone because I knew I did a good job. We had been learning and practicing so much. I am very happy that I could show my family what I have learned.”
Benny:
“The Milestone was very exciting, but practice was very long. It may be tiring, but it was worth it. I felt very nervous and shy, but I got up and did it anyway.”
Remy:
“I was so scared before the Milestone, but it was really good. It went so fast. It feels like I was in second grade two days ago, but I’m actually almost in fourth grade!”
Zhyiong:
I felt nervous because it seemed like 1,000 people were watching me. Even though I made some mistakes, I felt great. I am grateful because I learned so much.”
Adam:
“I was very excited before the Milestone because I love performing. It feels weird that I’m getting close to third grade, but it feels like I just started Gan.”
