Dear Yavneh Community,
I am thrilled to share the news about our vote to approve the 2024-25 Yavneh Day School Board of Trustees. The newest members of the Board were identified and recruited by our Nominating committee. They recognize the needs of the Board and the school as we finalize our Strategic Plan and prepare for a visit from the California Association of Independent Schools.
The strength of the leadership and commitment on this Board is commendable and I am incredibly appreciative of the all of the energy each of them have put forth on behalf of the South Bay Jewish community in the, through volunteer hours, working in the Jewish community, offering philanthropic support as well as their commitment to Yavneh over the years. On this new board, we have ensured institutional memory and stability with three prior staff members, as well as parents of nearly twenty alumni/former Yavneh students, dating as far back as the early 2000’s. We have six current parents of Yavneh students, and one clergy representative. We also have representation from the Russian and Israeli communities and a wide array of professionals across every area to support Yavneh’s educational program and fiduciary health. The expansion of the Board to fifteen members is a clear signal to our community about the stability of our leadership as well as our commitment to Yavneh’s vision for the future.
