Shalom Families,

Each year in 5th grade, our students divide into groups and dedicate themselves towards helping individual causes through their own community service projects. Each of the four groups has their own week, where they can educate the community on the importance of their cause and raise awareness & donations for people in need!

Next week, May 6 – 10, we kick off our campaign with a group raising awareness & donations for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, a Stanford-based healthcare center that continues to push the envelope of medical innovation.

You will see these students stationed outside at pickup times. They will be giving out custom wristbands that promote Lucile Packard with their slogan, “Heal Humanity” for a donation of your choosing. All donations will make their way to the Lucile Packard organization and children battling against cancer.

More information on this incredible service project can be found here, written in the students’ own words! And check out the video made by this project’s leaders: Riley, Millie & Eldan.

We hope you will visit this station and help our students spread awareness about this fabulous cause!
