Milestone season is upon us!

Kol Hakavod to our Kitah Gimmel students for their Kabbalat Torah Milestone this past Wednesday. Gimmelnikim spent the last few months learning how to learn in Chevruta, (partnered Torah learning) and deeper forms of language and narrative interpretation in the form of Biblical Exegesis (Midrash.) The students presented an original play that they wrote with Mrs. Kohn, Morah Becca, and Morah Aviva and made it interactive with their families. Students asked their guests for their interpretations of the text, as well as studying an original source sheet created by Mrs. Kohn and creating a watercolor piece with Morah Judy based on their study. Morah Vanina helped the students code in scratch how they believe the sound of Torah being received on Sinai sounded, as well as rewriting a Torah-flavored version of Kn’aan’s song “Wavin’ Flag” with Morah Margaux.

Yashar Ko’ach to Yavneh’s newest darshanim (Torah interpreters) and all of their incredible instructors!
