Tzachi RechterHead of School

Tzachi grew up on a kibbutz in Israel and spent most of his early adult years supporting and nurturing Jewish communities in Israel, Hong Kong, and the US. His work spanned from youth organizations to a synagogue congregation. Before joining Yavneh, he spent many years as an entrepreneur and business consultant for nonprofit and for-profit organizations and has extensive experience developing, structuring, and growing organizations. Tzachi is an educator at heart with many years of involvement in leadership positions in Jewish schools and communities, including chairman of the board for Kehillah Jewish High School in Palo Alto. He earned his MBA degree from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s in Education from Beit Berl College in Israel.

Tzachi loves spending his free time learning new things, being active in the outdoors, volunteering on boards, and spending time with his wife, two college-aged kids, and Coco, the family dog.
