Learning Tools for the 21st Century
Technology
Electronic multimedia is integrated into everyday educational experiences.
Students use classroom computer centers for research, writing, producing
presentations and reinforcing a variety of skills. Instruction in computer
research skills begins in second grade. More advanced computer instruction
commences in middle school. Every middle school student receives a
laptop for class work and homework. Students learn a variety of skills,
including creating Power Point presentations, designing web pages and
video editing. Students also receive regular reinforcement of computer
skills through research and creative assignments from teachers across
both the General Studies and Judaic Studies curricula.
Library
The library media program is designed to support curricular goals. Students
develop research and study skills they will need to acquire, analyze,
prioritize, synthesize and evaluate information. They also develp an
appreciation of literature through story telling sessions and guided
book selections. The library collection includes a wide variety of
both English and Hebrew texts.
